Homers by Frank Howard, Rick Reichardt and Aurelio Rodriguez drove in four runs to give the Senators a 5-2 win over the Indians.  Howard had three hits in the game, and Darold Knowles pitched two innings for the save.

Aurelio Rodriguez and Ed Stroud drove in two runs each, and Mike Epstein added a solo homer, to lead the Senators to a 6-2 victory over the Indians.  Tony Horton drove in both Cleveland runs with a 4th inning home run.

Home runs by Vada Pinson and Roy Foster led the Cleveland offense as the Indians defeated the Senators, 6-1.  Mike Epstein got two of the four Washington hits.

A bases-clearing double by Eddie Leon was the big hit in a 4-run 9th inning, as the Indians defeated the Senators by a 5-1 score.  Sam McDowell went all the way for the win, and struck out 10 Cleveland batters.

Rick Reichardt's three-run homer in the top of the 11th gave the Washington Senators a 3-0 win over the Cleveland Indians, and a 4-2 win in the series.  Washington starter Joe Coleman took a no-hitter into the 7th inning, but could not get any support from the offense while he was in there.  Cleveland loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the 11th, but Horacio Pina came in and got Ray Fosse to hit into a game-ending double play.

Senators win series 4-2.

Series MVP - Aurelio Rodriguez (.364, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 2 HRs, 6 RBI, 6 runs scored).
