1991 Season

The 1991 AL race would have seen Minnesota beat out Toronto by 4 games.  But with Division play, both made it to the Championship Series.  The Twins went on to the World Series.  The Pittsburgh Pirates, best in the NL by 4 games over Atlanta, weren't so lucky, losing to the Braves in a Championship Series that saw 4 of the seven games won by shutouts.  The World Series went to the limit, a 1-0 Minnesota victory decided in the 10th inning.  Maybe the Pirates would have done better.
